I grew up in Chicago’s northwest suburbs and always wanted residents here to receive the same world-class care available at major academic centers. My path took me from a Materials Science & Engineering degree at the University of Illinois to medical school at Northwestern Feinberg, a five-year orthopedic residency at The Ohio State University, and a dedicated hip-and-knee fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. That academic training keeps me current with the newest research and technologies, yet my practice is intentionally local—so you don’t need to travel far for leading-edge joint surgery.

I bring a big-center mindset to a hometown practice. Fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic keeps my care grounded in the latest research and technology, and I want to offer it to communities where I grew up. Patients get world-class hip and knee reconstruction without the long drive or big-hospital feel.
"My goal is simple: Offer leading-edge joint reconstruction close to home so you can return to work, family, and the activities you love."
I grew up in Chicago’s suburbs watching family members struggle with arthritis, which sparked my interest in joint care early on. After earning a degree in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Illinois, I completed medical school at Northwestern Feinberg, orthopedic residency at The Ohio State University, and a dedicated hip-and-knee fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. This blend of engineering and surgical training shapes lets me deliver academic-level hip and knee care in a comfortable community setting.
“My guiding question is simple: What would I recommend if this were my own mother or father?”
Today I focus exclusively on hip and knee replacement for the communities I know best. My guiding question is simple: What would I recommend if this were my own mother or father? That philosophy keeps every decision personal and practical. I look beyond the joint itself—addressing bone health, weight, activity goals, and emotional readiness—so recovery feels complete, not rushed.
In my free time, you’ll find me on the tennis court, biking the Lake Michigan shoreline, or trying new grill recipes with my family. These hobbies remind me why smooth, pain-free movement matters and inspire me to help you regain the same freedom. I also enjoy sketching and prototyping new orthopedic instruments—small innovations that can make surgery more efficient and recovery smoother for patients like you.
I have presented at national orthopedic meetings and have authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters on total joint replacements, specifically.
Hip & Knee Replacement (Arthroplasty) Fellowship
Orthopedic Surgery Residency
Medical School
B.S. Materials Science & Engineering
I care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions affecting bones, joints, and mobility. During residency, I trained in all areas of orthopedic surgery, including trauma, sports injuries, and spine care. My fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic focused on hip and knee replacement, where I developed specialized expertise in joint reconstruction.
While my fellowship training focused on hip and knee replacement, I continue to see a broad range of musculoskeletal issues. I’m happy to see you for:
Hip and knee arthritis
Painful or failed joint replacements
General Orthopedic Issues (ie shoulder or ankle injuries)
Orthopedic trauma and fractures (ie ankle fractures)
Deformities such as bow legs or knock knees
Second opinions on hip or knee replacement care
